DAY 01: GUWAHATI –BHALUKPONG:

After receive from Guwahati Airport and drive to Bhalukpong (250kms/6 hrs drive approx). Bhalukpong is the border of the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh is a place of enthralling scenic beauty. The sparkling river Jia Bharali which passes through Bhalukpong is an adventure lover’s paradise. By the side of the river is the Nameri National Park which falls under Project Tiger (Subject to operation & permit availability. Because, Nameri Forest will be closed from 01st May 2025 onwards). Overnight at Bhalukpong.

 

DAY02: BHALUKPONG – BOMDILA:

After breakfast transfer to Bomdila. En-route visit Tipi Orchidarium, a glass house with over 7500 Orchids. Overnight stay in Hotel in Bomdila.

 

DAY 03: BOMDILA – TAWANG:

Morning after breakfast, drive to Tawang (10,000 ft). En route witness the famous Bomdila Monastery. Also witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 13700 ft, the Jaswant Garh War Memorial and Jung Falls.  On arrival, check in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Tawang.

Jaswant Garh War Memorial: Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Battalion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place.

Sela Pass: @13700 ft, the Sela Pass is snow-covered (full or partial) all through the year and has breathtaking mystic views. Close to the Pass is the beautiful Sela Lake, a heart-shaped lake chiseled between the mountains, which intensifies the beauty of the region. The Lake is mostly frozen in winter. The Sela Pass is the main route to access Tawang town and is located 78 km before reaching Tawang.

Jung Falls: The Nuranang Falls (original name) @ 6000 feet is located about 40 km before reaching Tawang is famed as one of the most stunning waterfalls in Northeast India. The falls height is about 100 meters. The legend about the waterfalls goes that it is named after a Monpa Girl Nura who aided an Indian soldier during the 1962 Sino-Indian War.

 

DAY 04: TAWANG:

After breakfast, depart for Tawang Local sightseeing. Covering the Places: Tawang Monastery. The Monastery was established in the 15th century by Lama Urgen Sangpo, War Memorial.

Tawang Monastery is almost 400 years old and accommodates over 500 monks and houses priceless Buddhist texts and scriptures. Tawang Monastery is blessed with an 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha situated at 10,000ft among the exotic Himalayan Mountain ranges overlooking the Tawang-Chu Valley.

Later visit the War Memorial commemorating the bravery of the Indian Soldiers of the Indo-China war of 1962. Witness the light & sound show in the evening. Overnight at Hotel in Tawang.

 

DAY 05: TAWANG:

Today enjoy local sightseeing in Tawang. Visit Maduri Lake, China Border, & The Tawang Gompa is the high point of the town, with a commanding view of the splendid valleys beyond (Vehicle Cost – Mode of Payment – Direct, Subject to Permit availability & Weather Condition). Evening free. Overnight in Tawang.

 

DAY 06: TAWANG – DIRANG:

Early morning, after breakfast check out from the hotel & transfer to Dirang. On arrival check in at Hotel & Overnight stay at Dirang.

 

DAY 07: DIRANG – SANGTI VALLEY EXCURSION:

After an early breakfast, embark for Sangti Valley. Located just 15 kilometres away from Dirang. Sangti Valley is a hidden Gem & very least known. Dense Jungles, Voluptuous Rivers and a looming presence of the Eastern Himalayas make it a picture postcard perfect destination. Later back to Hotel. Overnight stay in Dirang.

 

DAY 08: DIRANG – GUWAHATI:   

After breakfast, check out from the hotel & visit Dirang Monastery. Later drive to Guwahati. On arrival, check in at Hotel. Overnight in Guwahati.

 

DAY 09: GUWAHATI LOCAL SIGHTSEEING – DEPARTURE:

Morning after breakfast checkout of the hotel proceed to Guwahati Airport for the onward journey. Memories Begin!
